July weddings are always HOT. Cat & Mark’s wedding at Tupper Manor was no exception. Luckily, they had already decided to hold their ceremony inside the mansion. We did a first look and family photos before the ceremony. Afterward, we did their portraits by the fountain, and down on the beach at sunset. If there’s one thing I’ll miss living on the coast, it’s the ocean! There’s nothing like it. For now, I will enjoy all of the seaside weddings!

I always love working local, and the Ipswich Country Club is no exception! Only a few minutes from where I live, the Ipswich Country Club is set inside a private community on beautiful grounds. If you’re looking for a place to have a private, intimate ceremony, look no further!
Jamie & John blended their family with John’s son, surrounded by family and friends on a beautiful spring day. I love the spring because all of the flowers and colors are starting to pop after a long, gray winter. It’s also just before the weather gets hot! After a sweet ceremony, we headed inside where the party never stopped. It’s always a good time when your bride and groom are both law enforcement and walk into their party handcuffed together 😉

From a cold and snowy Boston North End Engagement Session, to a wonderful fall wedding day at Saint Anselm College and the Brookstone Event Center, Katie & Michael had a very busy year! It was a beautiful October day in New Hampshire. They shared a first touch moment and prayer before their ceremony in the Saint Anselm Abbey.
Many couples enjoy first looks and have a moment together before walking down the aisle, but some still don’t want to see each other before the ceremony. After my years of experience in this industry, I feel like having a private moment together before the ceremony is a wonderful idea whether you see each other or not. Nerves and emotions are at an all time high. What better way to relax than to get to spend a quiet few seconds with your favorite person (and your favorite photographer). I’ve seen couples change almost immediately from being super nervous and anxious, to relaxing and getting excited for the big moment to come. And if you want to stick with tradition, no problem! I’ll find a way to help you do so. But I’ll admit, the looks between a couple when they see each other for the first time are some of the sweetest moments I’ve captured. Getting to have that time together without anyone else around really makes it special! Of course, it is always the couple’s choice 🙂
After a beautiful ceremony and pictures at the college, we headed to the Brookstone Event Center for their fun-filled reception! They are one of the most outgoing couples I’ve met, and their family and friends did not disapoint either. It was quite a party!
Rosie & Ryan – Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill Wedding

If you haven’t figured it out by now, estate venues are among some of my favorite places to shoot, and the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is on the top of my list. Rosie & Ryan’s wedding was my second event there last year. They were booking #2 from my St. Patrick’s Day hustle last March. Who needs drinks anyway? 🙂 It also helped that my sister (who we were out with that night) is best friends with Ryan’s cousin, and we happened to run into him at the bar. That’s what this business is about, connections and referrals! Anyway, I was already excited to shoot at the Stevens Estate again, but once I had Rosie & Ryan in for a consult and then their final meeting, I couldn’t wait for their big day. They are a super sweet and laid back couple that waited until Rosie finished Veterinary school to get married. Since she was so awesome and works nearby where we live, she is now our pet’s veterinarian too! I actually had quite a few couples last year that had been together for quite some time before deciding to get married, and I always love hearing their stories, and seeing how excited their friends and family are for the big day to finally happen <3
The estate is beautiful on it’s own but I loved all of Rosie’s details, from her succulent bouquet to her handmade wrapping and decorations for her bridesmaids gifts. Unfortunately, rain cancelled the outdoor ceremony, but that didn’t stop them from having a sweet ceremony in the reception tent, followed by an awesome reception. Their families and friends were amazing, and so full of love, excitement and emotion, from the moment her father saw her in her dress for the first time, to everyone dancing and having a great time together all night long. It was definitely a wedding to remember!
York Harbor Inn Spring Wedding – Veronica & Ryan

Veronica & Ryan’s beautiful York Harbor Inn Wedding was my first full lead wedding of 2015 and it was a great kickoff to this year’s wedding season. It was such a long winter with all of the storms we had out here on the east coast, and I am so happy to be getting busy again after being cooped up in the house for so long. We shot their engagement session last fall at an orchard, which was so much fun and a nice contrast to their spring seaside wedding photos.
I was so excited for their wedding day when it finally came! We had met for lunch at the York Harbor Inn a couple of weeks before for their final meeting and it was so beautiful, a perfect seaside location. When the wedding day arrived, the weather was bright and sunny, a nice change from the cold days we’d been having for so long. They had a wonderful ceremony at a park across the street from the inn, followed by formal photographs on a walkway around the beach that lent itself to beautiful natural backdrops, and then the guests and wedding party were treated a trolley tour of the York, Maine area before the reception.
The reception was even more fun with lots of dancing, great food, and glow necklaces that somehow got made into jump ropes. The crowd was very energetic and fun! They are such a sweet couple and I’m so happy they chose me and 617 Weddings to capture their special day!
Thompson Island Wedding

I had the pleasure of second shooting with Amanda McMahon Photography back in September on the beautiful Thompson Island. It’s one of the harbor islands off the coast of Boston. The boat trip over only took about 10 minutes, and the views of the Boston skyline are just incredible. It makes quite the backdrop for a wedding! It was a beautiful day and we even beat the rain for the ceremony. It did get a little stormy and windy (there were even tornado warnings on the main land!) but luckily we were already under the covered reception space. It was a very New England style wedding, complete with lobster and oysters for dinner. Those who know me know that I actually hate seafood (I know, bad New Englander!) but luckily they also had incredible BBQ chicken. There was also pie served along with the cake. Not a lot of food photos though, I was busy eating! 🙂 I definitely hope to shoot there again soon!
