The Boston Public Garden is so beautiful in the summertime. I was excited when Jenelle & Chris chose it for their engagement photos. A summer day in the city is always a good time! The weather was perfect, and when your couple looks like they walked off the pages of a magazine, you know it’s going to be a good day! They were also naturals on camera, making my job even easier. I always love shooting engagement sessions. It gives the couple and I a chance to get to know each other. It also helps them to be more comfortable being on camera if they haven’t had a session before.
I want all of my couples to have this experience when possible so I have added a complimentary mini engagement session to the wedding photography package! The mini session can be upgraded to the for couples who want to take advantage of all the awesome extras included in the full portrait session.

Kerry & Ryan’s beautiful ceremony was held at the beautiful Church of St. Ignatius on the Boston College campus, followed by their reception at the Union Club of Boston overlooking the city. It was the perfect, elegant Boston wedding day! If you’re looking for a venue where you can have multiple spaces to change up the flow of your day, the Union Club is the place! I got quite the stair workout that day too 🙂 There are elevators of course if needed. They have many rooms for photos, as well as event spaces to keep your guests entertained!

Shooting a wedding at the Boston Public Garden has always been a dream of mine. It’s one of my favorite spots in the city, especially on a perfect summer day. I was super excited to find out that Tara & John’s ceremony and photos would be held on the Boston Public Garden, with their reception following at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. Since landscape photos are one of my non-wedding passions, I was able to incorporate some into their wedding photos to really showcase the location, as well as their wedding. The weather was beyond perfect, with just a few clouds to make their photos really pop!
Tara & John were blending their family, with his 2 little girls, and their brand new baby daughter. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged their vows on the Public Garden, overlooking the pond. They had the sweetest ceremony, and we shot their family photos and bridal portraits in the garden. With the bridge, pond, and so many other natural backdrops, I could have spent the rest of the day there! Sadly, that was not an option, but they did stop at the ice cream truck at the back of the garden for a couple of ice cream cones on the way back to the Boston Park Plaza hotel for their reception!
A wedding ceremony on the Boston Public Garden, and a reception at the Boston Park Plaza hotel, a wedding day couldn’t be more Boston themed, and I loved it!
Boston North End Engagement Photos – Katie & Michael

As soon as I met with Katie & Michael, I knew their engagement photos were going to be a good time. They are both so sweet with fun, outgoing personalities! They both live in the North End in Boston, so that is where they chose to have their engagement photos. Of course, with all of the snow and blizzards, we had to reschedule a couple of times, but in the end the timing worked out. Our session fell on the same day as the Patriot’s Superbowl Parade, and since everyone was busy at that, it meant no people walking around in the back of our pictures! I even had the help of our office assistant, Rosie for the day. We started at Christopher Columbus Park, walked through the North End, stopping at some of their favorite spots, including where Michael proposed at Battery Wharf, and finally made our way over to Paul Revere Park by the Zakim Bridge. It was also right before Valentine’s day, so we had some fun taking pictures with (and of course eating) some candy hearts! We lucked out with fairly nice weather as far as January goes, too! I can’t wait for their October 2015 Wedding at Brookstone Park in Derry, New Hampshire!

When I’m not shooting weddings, I really enjoy shooting landscapes and cityscapes. I’m excited to announce that my non-wedding photography work has been accepted into the Beverly Arts Fest in Beverly, MA for this year!
The event is on June 14, 2014 (the day after my birthday!) from 10 am to 4 pm. It’s held on Cabot St. in Beverly, which is the main street in our small downtown. They shut down about half of the street for the day. There are lots of other artists and vendors, food and more. It’s a great day and fun for the whole family. I will have my own little tent space with some of my fine art photos for sale. It will be mostly photos in and around Beverly, and some of my Boston photos as well. I will be out shooting as much as possible to add more awesome photos to my inventory before the big day. I hope to see you there!
Here are just a few of the photos I will be featuring for sale! Locations featured are Boston, Obear Park in Beverly, and Lynch Park in Beverly.

Just a quick post. I was in Boston for a bridal consult the other day. Of course, no trip to the city is complete without multiple cameras and accessories, despite the freezing temps. I think I nearly contracted frostbite a couple times! Here is a photo I shot of the Zakim Bridge and TD Garden before I hopped on the train to head home. The plan is to go back and spend a day shooting lots of photos when this weather finally warms up, if it ever does. At this point it feels like we will be in perpetual winter forever. Am I right? Enjoy!

My husband and I went out into Boston one night with a few cameras. It had been a while since I shot just for fun, and I decided to try some extended exposure shots. They are so much fun! This is one of my favorites for the night.
I can’t wait to order a big canvas to hang up in our house! Want one too? This photo is for sale as a print or mounted standout or canvas! Contact me for pricing and details 🙂

My husband and I had a brief moment to stop by the Boston Marathon memorial on our way through the city a couple weeks ago. It was very overwhelming and beautiful. I only wish I had had a little more time to spend looking at all of the things that have been left there. I was able to snap a few quick pictures.
