Rosie & Ryan – Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill Wedding

If you haven’t figured it out by now, estate venues are among some of my favorite places to shoot, and the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is on the top of my list. Rosie & Ryan’s wedding was my second event there last year. They were booking #2 from my St. Patrick’s Day hustle last March. Who needs drinks anyway? 🙂 It also helped that my sister (who we were out with that night) is best friends with Ryan’s cousin, and we happened to run into him at the bar. That’s what this business is about, connections and referrals! Anyway, I was already excited to shoot at the Stevens Estate again, but once I had Rosie & Ryan in for a consult and then their final meeting, I couldn’t wait for their big day. They are a super sweet and laid back couple that waited until Rosie finished Veterinary school to get married. Since she was so awesome and works nearby where we live, she is now our pet’s veterinarian too! I actually had quite a few couples last year that had been together for quite some time before deciding to get married, and I always love hearing their stories, and seeing how excited their friends and family are for the big day to finally happen <3
The estate is beautiful on it’s own but I loved all of Rosie’s details, from her succulent bouquet to her handmade wrapping and decorations for her bridesmaids gifts. Unfortunately, rain cancelled the outdoor ceremony, but that didn’t stop them from having a sweet ceremony in the reception tent, followed by an awesome reception. Their families and friends were amazing, and so full of love, excitement and emotion, from the moment her father saw her in her dress for the first time, to everyone dancing and having a great time together all night long. It was definitely a wedding to remember!
Zoe & Dan – Five Bridge Inn Wedding

With 6 weddings in a 2 week time span, October was definitely my busiest month last year! It is again this year with just as many. Fall sure is popular for weddings in New England! Luckily we had a warmer October, so it almost felt like summer for Zoe & Dan’s beautiful big day at the Five Bridge Inn. They are such a sweet and easy-going couple, and were surrounded by lots of family and friends that were thrilled to be celebrating their wedding with them 🙂
The Five Bridge Inn is a gorgeous venue in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where you can have your whole event on site if you so choose. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated, lending itself to great photos indoors, as well as out. Zoe & Dan had their ceremony at a church, with the reception at the Inn. An awesome couple, a beautiful church, and an awesome venue, what more can a photographer ask for? 🙂
617 Weddings was representing with photography and DJ services. The reception rocked all night long, until the wedding party went to have a bonfire, which is another thing that makes the Five Bridge Inn awesome. Aside from having many rooms to stay on site, making your day so much easier, there’s also some farm animals, as well as a pool, and a couple spots for bonfires. It’s definitely a way to make a fun weekend out of your wedding!
Lorine & Brendan – L’Andana Grill Wedding

I couldn’t wait to shoot Lorine’s wedding from day one. As soon as I met with her at the office, I loved her sense of humor and how much fun she was. I didn’t meet her land Brendan until the day of the wedding, but once I met him and his wedding party, I could see how wonderful of a match they are, and that it was going to be a great day.
Lorine & Brendan had a beautiful wedding at the L’Andana Grill. It was a chilly October day with a little rain, but that didn’t stop us! Before the ceremony we had a lot of fun with the Groom & Groomsmen’s photos. It’s always a good time when the wedding party is all about having fun! After their sweet and emotional ceremony, we had some more photo fun with vintage limousines, big trucks, and Lorine’s beautiful green diamond engagement ring. She had on the most gorgeous beaded gown and veil, I just couldn’t get over it! Then, being the awesomely cool bride she is, she changed into a white jumpsuit so she could have fun on the dance floor. Once dinner was done, it was all about the dancing! As always, the kids in the family stole the show with their moves. Never fails!

While I’m a big fan of family traditions, I’m not going to lie, I love some of the unexpected and fun things that come along with non-traditional weddings. Karen & Richie kept it easy and both got ready at home, which was super relaxing for everyone. They did stay apart until they were ready to see each other for their first look. They also had a small wedding party, and everyone was at the the house, so that meant the wedding party photos were done before we even left for the venue. Talk about a time saver! Also, being at their home gives me a little bit of insight as to who they are, and some of that can show through in their photos. After getting ready, we headed to Cafe Escadrille for the ceremony and reception.
They had a sweet indoor ceremony followed by an awesome reception, with music provided by 617 Weddings DJ Chris Profenna, complete with choreographed dances! It was a wedding many years in the making, and you could see how excited their family and friends were to be there to celebrate. I’m honored to have been a part of such a special day!

Last St. Patrick’s Day, my Irish husband wanted to have a big night out, kilt and all. At our second to last bar of the night on our Downtown Beverly bar crawl, he was busy making friends and drinking lots of Guinness. What was I doing, you may ask? Well, naturally I was making connections. I met 2 new potential clients (or in this case, a bridesmaid), and booked both just a couple weeks later! That’s a good night out if you ask me 🙂 Once I met Jana, I was super excited about her Tewksbury Country Club wedding. Once I got to the venue the day of, I was even more excited!
It was bling, bling everywhere! Jana is definitely my kind of bride. Anyone that knows me, knows I like all things sparkly! She bedazzled and rhinestoned everything she possibly could for the wedding, but it was done beautifully. They had an awesome split cake, which represented her and her husband, Jess. She looked gorgeous in her beaded and embroidered gown. They had a sweet ceremony on the bridge out behind the Country Club, and then had an awesome reception back inside, complete with a 617 Weddings DJ & Videographer! Jana had some beautiful moments with her mom, which I loved. As always, the Tewksbury Country Club is an awesome venue too!
And another congratulations goes out, as Jana & Jess are expecting their little girl this summer!
Melissa & Josh – Groveland Fairways Wedding – August 2015

Groveland Fairways is quickly becoming another one of my favorite venues! Not only is it a close location for me, it’s absolutely beautiful, with lots of options for photo spots, indoor and out. This also means ceremony spaces indoor and out, so if its winter, or you have bad weather and need to move inside, you’re all set! Luckily the weddings I had there this summer were both outside in their gorgeous ceremony space. It’s a bit off-set to the back of the property, so it’s nice and private for the ceremony while preparations are made for the reception inside, even if you can hear the baby goats next door 🙂 Cocktail hour can be held out back on the patio as well in nicer weather.
Now about the couple, the main part of the day! Melissa & Josh were awesome throughout the entire process of planning through day of. They are both so laid back and they had a super fun wedding! They are also very sentimental and had a lot of heirlooms included in their big day, the most special one being the diamond in Melissa’s engagement ring. One of my favorite parts was the Horah Dance at the reception. I’d never shot one, and was excited when we got some great shots of it, even if Melissa preferred to stay closer to the ground 🙂 It was another wedding where I felt like part of the family. And now I’ve heard they are expecting their first little one soon! Congratulations!
Boston Park Plaza & Boston Public Garden Wedding – Tara & John – August 2015

Shooting a wedding at the Boston Public Garden has always been a dream of mine. It’s one of my favorite spots in the city, especially on a perfect summer day. I was super excited to find out that Tara & John’s ceremony and photos would be held on the Boston Public Garden, with their reception following at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. Since landscape photos are one of my non-wedding passions, I was able to incorporate some into their wedding photos to really showcase the location, as well as their wedding. The weather was beyond perfect, with just a few clouds to make their photos really pop!
Tara & John were blending their family, with his 2 little girls, and their brand new baby daughter. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged their vows on the Public Garden, overlooking the pond. They had the sweetest ceremony, and we shot their family photos and bridal portraits in the garden. With the bridge, pond, and so many other natural backdrops, I could have spent the rest of the day there! Sadly, that was not an option, but they did stop at the ice cream truck at the back of the garden for a couple of ice cream cones on the way back to the Boston Park Plaza hotel for their reception!
A wedding ceremony on the Boston Public Garden, and a reception at the Boston Park Plaza hotel, a wedding day couldn’t be more Boston themed, and I loved it!
Andi & Rich – New Bedford Whaling Museum Wedding – July 2015

When Andi & Rich booked with me, I’d never heard of the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and I was surprised to find out it was also used as a wedding venue! Many of my co-workers told me what a unique and fun venue it was, but none of their words did it any justice. As soon as I walked in I was even more excited to shoot their wedding. The ceremony was held outside the museum on the patio on a bright and sunny July day. Surrounding the museum are beautiful cobblestone streets with lots of pretty spots for pictures, and popular landmarks that relate to Moby Dick, which is fitting since they are both teachers. After the ceremony, we took a lot of amazing and fun shots outside, and then headed in to start the party. Inside there are actual whale skeletons hanging from the ceiling in the main room. The bride and groom get a sweetheart table up on top of the staircase so they can enjoy their dinner while watching their guests.
After dinner, the dancing began and never stopped. 617 Weddings DJ Chris Paul kept the party going all night long. I even managed to get the couple outside for a few fun night shots. It was a great night, and I can’t wait to shoot at the New Bedford Whaling museum again soon!
Independence Harbor Wedding – Assonet, MA – Laura & James

I haven’t traveled to the South Shore area much, so I was excited for Laura & James’ wedding at Independence Harbor. From the photos I had seen online, it looked beautiful, and it was! In the summer there’s a lot of greenery, but not a lot of color unless a place is landscaped with a lot of flowers. If you know me, you’ll know that I love lots of color. The grounds of Independence Harbor are beautifully landscaped, full of color, and they have lots of great little spots all around for photos right on site. I never had the chance to do an engagement session with Laura & James, but they were very natural on camera, and that always makes my job a lot easier! They had a sweet ceremony, followed by a super fun reception. I can’t wait to shoot at Independence Harbor again soon!
