Ipswich Country Club Wedding – Ipswich, MA | Jamie & John

I always love working local, and the Ipswich Country Club is no exception! Only a few minutes from where I live, the Ipswich Country Club is set inside a private community on beautiful grounds. If you’re looking for a place to have a private, intimate ceremony, look no further!
Jamie & John blended their family with John’s son, surrounded by family and friends on a beautiful spring day. I love the spring because all of the flowers and colors are starting to pop after a long, gray winter. It’s also just before the weather gets hot! After a sweet ceremony, we headed inside where the party never stopped. It’s always a good time when your bride and groom are both law enforcement and walk into their party handcuffed together 😉

Kerry & Ryan’s beautiful ceremony was held at the beautiful Church of St. Ignatius on the Boston College campus, followed by their reception at the Union Club of Boston overlooking the city. It was the perfect, elegant Boston wedding day! If you’re looking for a venue where you can have multiple spaces to change up the flow of your day, the Union Club is the place! I got quite the stair workout that day too 🙂 There are elevators of course if needed. They have many rooms for photos, as well as event spaces to keep your guests entertained!
Hanscom Air Force Base Wedding, Massachusetts – Lisa & Mike

Lisa & Mike’s big day at the Hanscom Air Force Base was nothing short of a good time from start to finish. If you want to have a good time, go to a Military/Firefighter wedding! We clicked as soon as we met, but I was totally in when they told me that their wedding would involve swords and fire trucks! I absolutely love outgoing and quirky couples that want to showcase alternative ideas. It keeps things fun and I’m always up for trying or learning something new.
They celebrated with their union with their two little boys, and even had a jeep and truck procession from the church to the hall on base. We had more plans to include a fire engine, but unfortunately timing got away from us as it often does on wedding days. Go with the flow, I always say! There were still lots of swords though, the best part being their oldest son wielding his dad’s sword around his parents during their first dance 😛 Swords were also used for cupcake cutting, and after smashing cake in each other’s faces, a full dance floor made for an awesome party. A great night was had by all 🙂

Katie & Michael – Brookstone Event Center Wedding

From a cold and snowy Boston North End Engagement Session, to a wonderful fall wedding day at Saint Anselm College and the Brookstone Event Center, Katie & Michael had a very busy year! It was a beautiful October day in New Hampshire. They shared a first touch moment and prayer before their ceremony in the Saint Anselm Abbey.
Many couples enjoy first looks and have a moment together before walking down the aisle, but some still don’t want to see each other before the ceremony. After my years of experience in this industry, I feel like having a private moment together before the ceremony is a wonderful idea whether you see each other or not. Nerves and emotions are at an all time high. What better way to relax than to get to spend a quiet few seconds with your favorite person (and your favorite photographer). I’ve seen couples change almost immediately from being super nervous and anxious, to relaxing and getting excited for the big moment to come. And if you want to stick with tradition, no problem! I’ll find a way to help you do so. But I’ll admit, the looks between a couple when they see each other for the first time are some of the sweetest moments I’ve captured. Getting to have that time together without anyone else around really makes it special! Of course, it is always the couple’s choice 🙂
After a beautiful ceremony and pictures at the college, we headed to the Brookstone Event Center for their fun-filled reception! They are one of the most outgoing couples I’ve met, and their family and friends did not disapoint either. It was quite a party!
Alison & Rob – Spirit of Boston Wedding

I’ve always loved boats and being on the water, so the prospect of shooting aboard the Spirit of Boston harbor cruise ship was awesome! The Spirit of Boston is one of a few of the Spirit Cruises boats. I was so excited when Alison & Rob booked me for their wedding aboard the Spirit. I’ve shot a wedding on the Elite II as well, and the Boston harbor cruises are so much fun! You get to see Boston from a different view, and spend the evening on a beautiful yacht overlooking the water and city. It’s even better when the sun goes down and the city lights up! Although, as amazing as it is for a venue, it’s not accommodating to larger guest lists, so keep that in mind if it’s a venue you’re considering 🙂
Alison & Rob were a super fun couple to work with. They live in Boston, so celebrating in the city was the perfect setting! Everyone got ready at the Intercontinental, and then we all took an Old Town Trolley down to the ship. It was a day full of beautiful city views! Their ceremony was on board inside, with the reception following. My husband was my assistant that day, and the officiant we had at our wedding was there to perform the ceremony. That was a nice surprise! He remembered us and was happy to see us there together.
Alison & Rob had a lot of fun with their photos, had lots of ideas, and were even ok with getting in a little bit of trouble for the “Titanic” boat shot you’ll see below. I didn’t realize they had stepped beyond the roped area on the front of the boat. It’s hard to delegate posing instructions from the busy city street to the boat, but I snapped the photo quickly when they posed before they were asked to get down. Safety is always a number one priority, but this quick shot was worth it! It has been one of the most popular photos I’ve ever captured. It’s even been featured by Spirit Cruises!
Juliana & Jim – October 2015

I always love a referral from friends or past clients, and Juliana was referred to me by a good friend! I’m also shooting her friend (and Maid of Honor’s) wedding this June. You may have remember Juliana & Jim’s beautiful North End engagement Session from 2014. We had an awesome time spending the day in the city. At the time, their wedding seemed so far away, but it came so quickly!
Juliana and Jim decided on a smaller, more intimate wedding. The ceremony was at their church in Stoneham, MA, then they had a dinner for their small list of guests following. She wore a beautiful short dress, and kept things simple. It’s amazing how different each wedding can be, which is one of my favorite parts about this job 🙂
Rosie & Ryan – Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill Wedding

If you haven’t figured it out by now, estate venues are among some of my favorite places to shoot, and the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is on the top of my list. Rosie & Ryan’s wedding was my second event there last year. They were booking #2 from my St. Patrick’s Day hustle last March. Who needs drinks anyway? 🙂 It also helped that my sister (who we were out with that night) is best friends with Ryan’s cousin, and we happened to run into him at the bar. That’s what this business is about, connections and referrals! Anyway, I was already excited to shoot at the Stevens Estate again, but once I had Rosie & Ryan in for a consult and then their final meeting, I couldn’t wait for their big day. They are a super sweet and laid back couple that waited until Rosie finished Veterinary school to get married. Since she was so awesome and works nearby where we live, she is now our pet’s veterinarian too! I actually had quite a few couples last year that had been together for quite some time before deciding to get married, and I always love hearing their stories, and seeing how excited their friends and family are for the big day to finally happen <3
The estate is beautiful on it’s own but I loved all of Rosie’s details, from her succulent bouquet to her handmade wrapping and decorations for her bridesmaids gifts. Unfortunately, rain cancelled the outdoor ceremony, but that didn’t stop them from having a sweet ceremony in the reception tent, followed by an awesome reception. Their families and friends were amazing, and so full of love, excitement and emotion, from the moment her father saw her in her dress for the first time, to everyone dancing and having a great time together all night long. It was definitely a wedding to remember!
Zoe & Dan – Five Bridge Inn Wedding

With 6 weddings in a 2 week time span, October was definitely my busiest month last year! It is again this year with just as many. Fall sure is popular for weddings in New England! Luckily we had a warmer October, so it almost felt like summer for Zoe & Dan’s beautiful big day at the Five Bridge Inn. They are such a sweet and easy-going couple, and were surrounded by lots of family and friends that were thrilled to be celebrating their wedding with them 🙂
The Five Bridge Inn is a gorgeous venue in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where you can have your whole event on site if you so choose. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated, lending itself to great photos indoors, as well as out. Zoe & Dan had their ceremony at a church, with the reception at the Inn. An awesome couple, a beautiful church, and an awesome venue, what more can a photographer ask for? 🙂
617 Weddings was representing with photography and DJ services. The reception rocked all night long, until the wedding party went to have a bonfire, which is another thing that makes the Five Bridge Inn awesome. Aside from having many rooms to stay on site, making your day so much easier, there’s also some farm animals, as well as a pool, and a couple spots for bonfires. It’s definitely a way to make a fun weekend out of your wedding!
