Welcome to another beautiful elopement! Jen & Mike eloped at the beautiful Anchorage By the Sea in Ogunquit, Maine. Jen bought her gown from me back when I was still at Chantilly Place. When she came for fittings, she was looking for a photographer since they rescheduled their original plans for a bigger wedding. I happened to be available, and I’m glad it all worked out! They held their ceremony at the Anchorage By the Sea in Ogunquit, Maine with just her daughters and a few friends. My husband even tagged along and we were able to enjoy the hotel for the weekend!
Waltham, Massachusetts City Hall Elopement

Many couples decided to elope during the 2020 and 2021 wedding season. Elopements have always been around, but thanks to the pandemic, they have become much more mainstream. Even as restrictions are lifted, and the pandemic (hopefully) wanes down, I hope elopements are here to stay!
Patty & Cameron chose to elope at Waltham City Hall in Waltham, MA. They were only engaged about a month, but they wanted to be married right away and plan a larger event later on. The City Hall building itself is beautiful, and right next to it is a great park with lots of photo spots! We met their officiant inside, and then they chose to hold the short but sweet ceremony under the gazebo. Once things were official a few minutes later, we took some time for some couple’s portraits around the park!

J&M were actually my very first wedding clients in December 2010! I also took photos for them when their first daughter was born. Now they have 2 beautiful girls, and wanted to update their family photos last Fall. We chose to meet at one of my favorite spots, Lynch Park in Beverly, Massachusetts! With the brick rose garden, open space, and beach ocean views, it’s a great photo shoot location with lots of background options. It was a bit chilly, but we made it work! I’m so glad they have stayed in touch over the years, and it’s been a pleasure to watch their family grow.
Venetian Terrace Wedding – Irving, TX | Leslie & Justin

Leslie & I were classmates all through elementary and high school. After graduation, we went our separate ways as many friends do, but with the internet and rise of social media, we kept in touch over the years. Despite moves to opposite ends of the country, we stayed long distance friends throughout all of each other’s major life events. I was so excited when she asked me to come to Texas to be a part of her wedding! We hadn’t seen each other in about 13 years, but the minute I landed in Dallas, it was like we hadn’t been apart long at all.
Leslie and Justin chose the Venetian Terrace in Irving, Texas for their special event. The venue is tucked into the Las Colinas area. It sits beside a canal, where the bride and groom are whisked away on a gondola after the reception! Of course, that part happened after I had left. There is a very Italian style to the architecture, making a great backdrop for photos.
The morning of the wedding started off with pouring rain. Luckily it cleared for their first look, and outdoor ceremony! The ceremony was followed with an intimate reception with close friends and family. The decor was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. The Venetian Terrace was the perfect little spot for Leslie & Justin’s wedding day!

Molly & Luke | Maudslay State Park Engagement

Molly & Luke requested fall foliage for their engagement photos. Lucky for us, we hit the peak weekend at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA back in October! Of course, we didn’t realize we were going to be right in the middle of a Halloween event. But that’s the fun of photo sessions, they’re always full of surprises! We worked our way around the crowds to capture some great photos.
I love that this year’s wedding clients are opting for engagement sessions. Many of them have not been in front of a professional camera before as a couple. Taking advantage of an engagement session not only allows you to get to know your photographer a little more. It lets you get some experience being photographed prior to the wedding day. When that day comes, you’ll be familiar with the way your photographer will work with you, and your big day will go much more smoothly. Who doesn’t want that?
Check out some of my favorites of Molly & Luke! I am looking forward to their wedding at the beautiful (and recently renovated) Danversport this coming September!

Working in a bridal shop does have its perks, such as meeting potential new clients! Taylor came in as a bridesmaid in a wedding party. My photography business came up in conversation, and she and Ryan ended up choosing me as their wedding photographer! We bounced back and forth on engagement photo ideas but they ultimately chose to do a winter session at their wedding venue, the beautiful Tower Hill Botanic Garden!
Those of you that know me, know that I really don’t like the cold and snow of winter. Normally I would not have been super happy about the snow that fell the night before their photo session. Luckily, the light, fluffy little bit of snow that came down was absolute perfection! I was totally ok with it! Tower Hill Botanic Garden has so many great spots inside and out, from gardens, to greenhouses. We were able to get some gorgeous snow photos, then go inside for some greenery and warmth! I could have stayed in the greenhouse all day with all of the gorgeous plants. It was like being back in Mexico!
I love how these photos turned out, and they will be a great contrast to their summer wedding photos coming this August. I can’t wait for all of the gardens full of gorgeous flowers!
Greek Orthodox Metropolis Wedding | Maria & Robert

It may have been the hottest day of 2018, but Maria & Robert’s Greek Orthodox Metropolis wedding was still beautiful and full of love and family! I originally met Maria when I was hired to photograph her parent’s 50th Anniversary party in 2014. It was a Big Greek Family affair! Seeing her parents celebrated and loved by everyone was inspiring. One of the best parts of this job is when clients come back, it makes you feel like part of the family. Naturally, I was excited when Maria contacted me about capturing her upcoming wedding!
Maria & Robert (and their children) had their wedding ceremony in the chapel at Greek Orthodox Metropolis. Despite the heat and lack of air conditioning, they had a wonderful traditional Greek ceremony. The reception was held under a tent at a family member’s house.
Nashua Airport Wedding | Jenn & Rony | Nashua, New Hampshire

Jenn & Rony’s Nashua Airport wedding in started with a surprise proposal photo shoot at the Mystic aquarium. Rony was a former coworker that I stayed in touch with over social media. He had contacted me a few times regarding his plans to propose to Jenn, so I knew it was on the horizon. Once he finally had the ring, we made the plans! After the proposal, I was thrilled when Jenn & Rony wanted to choose me as their wedding photographer. Jenn & I became friends on Facebook, which allowed me to get to know her better, as well as follow along with some of her wedding planning. It definitely paid off! I knew about a lot of their details before we even met for the final meeting. I knew what was important to them to capture, and how unique their wedding was going to be.
Following their church ceremony at St Louis De Gonzague Parish in Nashua, New Hampshire, their travel-themed reception was held inside a jet hangar at the Nashua Airport. Jenn was a very DIY bride, putting lots of thought and detail into her wedding decor. She transformed a very blank slate into a beautiful event space. The staff even allowed us to go out onto the tarmac to take some photos with the planes! It made for some unique portraits that captured the essence of their wedding theme.

Unique wedding venues are one of my favorite things about this business. Jessica & Nicholas did not disappoint! They held their ceremony at their church in Mishawaka, Indiana. After some rainy formal photos at a local park, we headed to the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart, Indiana for their reception. They didn’t let the pouring rain put a damper on their big day. Jess & Nick were totally willing to go outside for some portraits. I just had to get some shots of them under the amazing theatre sign out front! Photographing this wedding meant a 2000 mile round trip drive from Boston, but it was worth it! I got to visit family, and photograph the wedding of one of my longest known friends 🙂

Jenelle & Chris had a beautiful wedding reception at the newly remodeled Danversport! Their ceremony was at Saint Anthony’s of Revere. The weather was gorgeous. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the ballroom and on the deck while we finished formal photos and portraits on the riverfront. Their guests knew how to party and the dance floor was full all night!
