About Me

I’ll be real honest, I’m absolutey terrible at writing these things.  I guess that’s why I’m so good with a camera.  I see what’s in front of me.  It’s tangible.  For me, that’s what photography is about, making moments and memories a tangible thing that you can look at and hold onto forever.

Your wedding is a single day full of moments and memories that fly by, and my job is to make sure that they are preserved for you forever, the details, the candid moments, the family photos, all of it.  It happens once and you don’t get a do-over.  It breaks my heart when I hear someone talk about their wedding photos with a negative experience and regrets.  Every couple I work with is special to me.

It’s not just photography, it’s actually more of an experience.  You’re not just another client, and I’m not JUST a photographer or another vendor on your list.  If something needs to be handled to make sure the day goes smoothly, I’m on it.  You spend more time with me than any other vendor on your wedding day and I want you to be happy and comfortable.  I work closely with your coordinator and other vendors to keep the timeline moving.  It’s not my first rodeo, and it won’t be my last.

So I guess you still want to know a few things about me.  I’ve been married to my wonderful husband since 2010.  We have our 2 cats & 2 dogs, and if you happen to follow my Instagram, you’ll see lots of (i.e. probably too many) photos of them.  90’s and 2000’s nostalgia and music is my favorite.  You’ll usually catch me singing along while shooting if it’s played at your reception, but I promise I’ll spare you my terrible  and uncoordinated white girl dance moves 😉

I’ve also recently discovered an appreciation and love for antiques.  My current collections include vintage cameras and photography items dating back to the 1800’s, Fiestaware glassware, and costume jewelry.  My mother is an antiques dealer, and I make frequent visits to where she lives in Michigan to go on antiquing adventures.  When the tide is out on nicer days you may also find me down at the beach collecting sea glass.  I still have no idea what I’m going to do with it all, but I’m still determined to find my first red piece!  It’s also no secret that I love food, and when I’m not shooting weddings I can be found shooting promotional photos for restaurants.  My running joke is that I shoot weddings for the free cake.  Just kidding!  Kind of… 🙂
